When Oliver arrived, it was in the middle of the gig, and he took a seat in the back. It had been a couple of days since he'd talked to or seen Bella, but Monday he'd gone to her gig, which had been great fun, and afterwards, the two of them had managed to stumble into a roughly intimate encouter--again.

That night, he really enjoyed the song she played, and made a mental note to tell her so when she stopped playing. So after she was finished and milled around for awhile, Oliver folded a paper plane from a flyer, wrote 'Nice job, Ginger' on the wing, and threw it so that it hit her in the side of the head.

Bella was actually heading up to the counter to grab a bottle of water when she felt something hit her in the head. Her brow furrowed as she looked down and saw a paper airplane at her feet and she leaned down to pick it up. Upon opening she saw the note and she couldn't help but grin and shake her head, what a pain in the ass he was. She folded it up, tucked it in her back pocket, and looked around for Oliver to make her way to him.

He got up from his spot near the back and made his way to the crowd to talk to her, laughing a little already when he saw her. "Yeah, I know. I act like I'm five. But it got your attention, didn't it?" With a shrug and a smirk, he nodded to the menu and asked, "D'you want anything or do you get free shit when you play? Oh, and by the way, your song was fuckin' brilliant tonight. That 'when it rains' song was the best, I think. It stuck with the most. You ought to get in a studio with that one. It could be big. It's got all the making's of a single."

"Yes, you definitely do act like you're 5, I can't decide if it's endearing or just generally creepy. But yes, you really did succeed in getting my attention," Bella couldn't help but tease him because no matter what she always enjoyed her banter with him. She shook her head at the offer, "Yeah, I do get free shit, but that's because I'm the manager upstairs, they gotta do something to keep me happy."

She thanked the person behind the counter as she took her water bottle and grabbed Oliver's arm so they could go to a better spot in the cafe to talk. The compliment made her chuckle and she shook her head, "I should have slept with you sooner if you were going to be this nice about my music. And I'm glad you enjoyed it, it's one of my favorites right now. And a studio? Really? I'll think about it, I haven't gone in to do studio time in ages and I don't know if I really want to lay down all that money right now.especially if there's no one to get it out there."

"Not to be a cocky shit," Oliver said as he paid for his coffee and turned to face Bella as she grabbed his arm. He tried not to blush at her comment about sex, but he felt his cheeks grow warm despite his efforts. "But I've been in the music business awhile. I've sold a few records. I can get you studio time, and I can get your promotion if that's what you want."

He honestly wasn't trying to brag. But the fact was that if you knew someone in the business, it was easier to get your foot in the door. "And if you'd rather not me, you could--" He hesitated, wondering how horrible it could get if Bella actually talked to Brianna about...well...anything. "N-never mind. I just...I could help you is all."

"Oh my god, you're in the music business?" She gave him a shocked look and let her hand cover her mouth before she started to grin, "I never knew that! Fancy that, do you really think you can get me noticed, mister?" She finally let herself settle down, but continued to grin at him as she sat down and set her water on the table.

"And no, it's fine...if you want to help me out then I'm not going to be a bitch and tell you no. I just haven't thought seriously about trying to break in lately, so it's kind of sudden," She explained to him. Ever since the pain in the ass with the one music label she hadn't really been too keen on breaking in lately until she found the right place. She didn't want to have to sacrifice herself just to make some money.

"You're such a little shit!" Oliver said, playfully shoving her a little bit. "I was just offering since you said 'no one' could get it out there. And if you recall, you did go on and on about how I'm an ungrateful shit and you deserve fame and recognition more than I do." Of course, he was just teasing her, but he couldn't resist bringing that up just a bit.

Even though they got along now much better (funnily enough, after having sex), they still maintained that same joking and teasing nature. He couldn't pretend he didn't enjoy her quick, witty comments and shooting some back on his own. But he really did think she was talented and should be heard.

"You love it," She countered quickly with a laugh as she was shoved. She stuck her tongue out at him and then shook her head as he threw the words she had said back at her. God, it was kind of weird to hear them back at her, "Hey, not my fault that the things I say are completely true! And I said I'd take you up on your offer to help, calm down."

"It's definitely part of your charm," he admitted, actually paying a compliment to the girl who'd once been his archenemy. It was odd how things had changed, and he actually thought of the hilarity of it when his mind wandered to his cat...And suddenly, he started laughing and pinching the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger. Should he tell her?

Bella couldn't help but blink as Oliver suddenly just started to laugh, it was a little creepy and definitely unexpected. "Um...are you having a stroke or something? 'Cause I know you're old and all, but seriously..." She asked him carefully with a raised eyebrow, why the hell was he so odd?

"Sorry...sorry, I uh..." He paused and gathered composure, looking at her and biting her lips, wondering if he should say it and finally deciding it wasn't that big of a deal. "Okay, well. Not long ago, I was over at Bryce's and feeling pretty low. His cat--Bella--came and sat in my lap and wouldn't move, and I was really comforted petting her, so he just...gave her to me. So? Now I have a cat named Bella, and at the time, it was much nicer to me than you are. In fact--she still might be..." He finished with a little tease.

Bella's jaw dropped when she heard that Bryce had given Bella the cat to Oliver. Why dear god did that have to happen? Was it some fucked up omen of things to come since now they got along really well? "Oh my god. He gave you my cat half?! Oh I am going to kill him. And I am totally nicer than a cat. She can't make you moan like I can," She answered with a smirk.

"Yes, he did! It was very thoughtfu--" But he cut himself off when she sent on to add that little intimate detail and bit his lip, looking down at the table. "Bella..." (Which he rarely called her) "Don't kill him, he was being very kind because I was feeling a bit down and the cat was being very nice. In fact, she uh--" He laughed a bit more and shook his head. "She sleeps with me."

"For real, Oliver? You really think that I would go beat up my friend? I might go give him an earful, but I won't actually harm him," She shook her head, and then he mentioned the fact that the cat slept with him and she groaned, "I'd sleep with you too. Damn cat, I'm going to disown her as my god-child."

"You couldn't beat Bryce up if you tried. You're a shrimp," he teased, sticking his tongue out. "But no, I didn't think you would harm him. I just don't even want him to get an earful. He was being thoughtful, not trying to upset anyone. You know Bryce. Anyway, how can you disown your god-child? She's only sleeping, but you've done a lot more than that, oh what now...three times?"

"Haven't we been over how you completely underestimate my skills to inflict harm on someone? I'm pretty sure that I could take Bryce, he's a wimp, and I've taken a lot of kick boxing over the years," She pointed out to him. She really did hate when he mentioned that she was small and therefore couldn't do harm to anyone, "And I can disown her by not giving her any more presents and refusing to pet her. And three times is not very many, she's with you most nights out of the week."
