Tannar had spent majority of his day at Torrent, he had been hoping the owner would be in today, he had already talked to the chef, a charming girl but his stars hadn't been lucky that day, he figured he'd try another ( ... )

Lacey hadn't seen the man until they were right next to each other. She couldn't help but stop in her tracks to allow him to go first. However, she was somewhat surprised when he offered for her to go in front of him. So, she gave a small smile, followed by a rather quiet, "Thank you." She hated being so shy, but it was more a habit, especially around guys.

Once she was in line, he eyes wandered to the menu of the establishment. Since it was her first time there, she figured that she'd go with something that sounded familiar to her. It didn't take too long for the girl to make up her mind, and then she heard his voice, again. With a bit of a nervous look on her face, she turned to the man. "I'm sorry...this is my first time eating here. I don't think I can really recommend anything," she answered in a shy manner. Now that she finally 'looked' at the man, she realized how handsome he was and it caused her to blush. Why on earth was he talking to her?

He smiled down at her and then chuckled, "But you're in line for something, and from your inspection earlier I'm assuming you figured what that something is."

He grinned a friendly grin at her before he went back to looking at the selection of food before them, his eyes going over each item and reading it's explanation of the food presented.

Lacey didn't know if she should respond to the man, or not. Her instincts told her to just be quiet, but another part was telling her that she shouldn't be rude. After all, he was only curious as to what she would recommend from the menu.

So, after a few seconds of inner-delegation, she looked at the man, and spoke, in a low voice. "Grilled ham and cheese...with tomato soup..." That was all she said, before going silent. Then, to make herself clear, she blurted out, "That's what I would recommend." Lacey, then, pushed her glasses up on her nose and bit her lower lip, nervously.

His lips slowly spread into a smile, "Sounds delicious!" His stomach seemed to agree because it growled loudly, he grinned at her and looked a bit sheepish.

"My name is Tannar, by the way." He said holding his hand out for her's in a friendly greeting.

She was a bit in awe, when the man smiled. Realizing this, she looked away for a moment, trying to hide her embarrassment. However, she looked back with a small smile, upon hearing his stomach growl. It caused her to give a small giggle.

Nervously, she took the man's hand and gave him the best handshake she could manage (although, it was still a bit weak). "I'm Lacey," she said in a quiet tone. "Nice to meet you...Tannar, was it?"

"Tannar." He repeated and shook her hand, mindful of her gentleness. His thought her name fit her perfectly, "Thanks for your recommendation." He added with a bow of his head and then indicated to her table, "Working on a project?"

Tannar. It was a rather interesting name. Lacey gave him another smile before looking over at her things as well. "Um..." she shook her head, "Not really. It's just math homework that I wanted to get done soon." It made her somewhat nervous that he'd watch her, at least to know where she was sitting. However, she figured she was just being silly, and shrugged off her thoughts. "What about you? Working on something?" The girl felt a bit weird asking him the question but nothing else came to mind.
