Poetry Meme
I just spent another three hours with Comcast working at my house, and I have now reached whole new levels of pissed off. Also? My two animated Dr. Horrible icons on LJ are now suddenly blank. My other animated icons (the few that I have) are still working fine, it's just these two, which I love. Gerrrrrr! So I need a distraction.
I wasn't going to do the Poetry meme this time around, until I remembered that I do actualy have a little twist on the meme to offer.
As my thank you gift to the DS_Match mods, I recorded my three favorate poems of all time as podfics, one for each of them. It seems an approprate time to post them here as well, in the sperit of the meme.
The three recordings are "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll, "Annabel Lee" by Poe, and Hobos And Tramps by no one knows who (no one actualy knows the title, either, that's just what I've always called it).
All three poems are special to me, "Annabel Lee" is honestly the only Poe poem I really like, and I memorized that for a class in the 7th grade. "Jabberwocky" was the first poem I ever comitted to memory, and probably my absolute favorate poem, even more then the other two. And Hobos And Tramps is just fun, anywhich way you say it. ::G:: I hope someone else enjoys the recordings, as well as the poems...
