Shake Your Bootie!

I made baby booties!! ::excited bounce:: They're so tiny and cute and...and...and just so tiny!

Aren't they cute? This is the first time I've ever been able to actualy read and follow a pattern all the way though. Well, in all honesty, I follewed the pattern exactly on the prototype, which was a larger blue bootie, which I'll make a match to later. I did that last night to figure out how to do it it, and then today I made this set and I actualy added a few edits of my own that I thought worked better with the yarn I used. But I acutaly did all the steps in the pattern exactly, I just added a few extra details of my own.

I am so rediculasly proud of these. They're pretty small, so they'll probably only fit a new born, but hay, even new borns need shoes. Later on, I'll get some ribbon to add in so that they can be tied onto the feet, otherwise the baby would probably be able to kick them off pretty quickly, but still.

Arent they cute? I actualy found the pattern compleatly by chance. I was watching TV yesterday and flipped past a PBS show and saw them crocheting a baby bib, so I stopped for a sec and then they did these booties and I was stunned at how easy it looked. Turns out the show is also on-line with viedo clips and step-by-step patterns used on the show, which was perfect for me.

And they're so Tiny!!!   [/end embarisinly girly baby squee]

ETA: These were made with Lion Brand® Micro Spun "French Vanilla" yarn with a size 4.25 (G/6) hook. The pattern is from Knit And Crochet Today.
