Hi
Another late appearance - why do ARe always have flashsales on the 6th of the month? And put dragon shifter books in the advert? I'm having a shifter mood at the moment. It'd been a while since I read any shifter stories and then I picked one up in a sale and I'm hooked again.
It looks like LJ is going to be awkward and have some maintenance in an hour or so - if I got my time zones right. So you'll just get one post today, which actually has more to do with me getting up in the middle of the night to go into work early today.
In just over a month I'll be on my way to Bristol for the UK GLBTQ Fiction Meet - a weekend of fun and nattering. This year I'm on a panel about humour in writing as well as reprising my 'questions for inspiration' topic that I did in Manchester for a smaller audience. The questions one is sorted, but my panel isn't, so I thought I'd ask for some help.
Can you suggest any books with humourous blurbs? Or just books that have made you laugh? I've got a few of my own, but only what I've read which is a drop in the ocean. So if you have any suggestions I'd be very grateful - genre or mainstream or whatever.
Humour and romance are often difficult to fit together, but when done well it is a fantastic combination. I happen to think that a seasoning of humour improves any genre. Do you enjoy humour in your romance or do you prefer a more serious approach to the big topic of true love?
I'm toddling off to bed shortly, so I'll catch up with you tomorrow when LJ has recovered.
