Life Update
I'm a year from finishing my Master's in English. I currently have three goals in life: a job with a salary, a god, and a PhD. I'm strongly leaning towards a PhD in Popular Culture, partially because I didn't even know that was a thing. But it sounds epic. It will probably require me to move halfway across the country, and I can't decide how I feel about that. My mom isn't crazy about it (and would much prefer I move to New York so she can come visit me). I am enjoying teaching, which is strange to me. I plan halfheartedly to teach at a community college for a bit until I figure out where my PhD is happening.
The boyfriend is still wonderful, which makes me happy.
It's been raining for 4 days and I hate it. My roof is leaking.
I'm in the process of trying to lose weight. It's going well, except for my fondness for alcohol and cupcakes. I've been trying to go to the gym regularly, but the rain is making me not want to do anything.
I'm ready for Halloween. I plan on dressing as Velma from Scooby-Doo. My boyfriend took the idea and ran with it and is now going to be Shaggy, making this my first Halloween with a matching costume. Strange.
