okay... so the GRE placed totally screwed me over and i have to pay more now to take the test and hopefully cram it in this month. i looked around online and i can take it on the 29th or 31st, which is still really late but just in time to apply for most grad schools, i hope. except a few that i found with deadlines of dec. 31st and jan. 1st

1. I loved anatomy, but I hated physiology. I don't remember *ANYTHING* from the "P" in my A&P class haha
2. ewwww smelly livestock. cows are cool tho. and horses if that counts.
3. for how much you hate biochem? no lol
4. virology would be really cool :D
5. the best way to know is to ask the department head about what their acceptance policies are to the program.
6. I have taken two nutrition classes - fundamentals of nutrition and science of nutrition (the latter is required for my major). I like it but to be honest, nutrition can be kind of dry and boring at times. Take fundamentals of nutrition and see if you like it haha. it's like my science of nutrition class, but easier, or take science of nutrition with joya hart but unfortunately A&P I & II are pre-requisites for that class so idk if you will be able to. nutrition fundamentals was pretty easy and you do a dietary analysis over three day's-worth of intake. it's a little tedious and it's A LOT of paper to print out but it's an easy 100 points lol. if you can't take these classes...take my notes and look at them or something!
7. microbiology (even though my class was only at the 100-level) was one of my favorite classes. I would just apply because it doesn't hurt to just try - if this is what you want to do, that is. But also have a back-up option just in case something happens and things don't quite work out the way you were expecting them to.
8. interesting but imo sounds like too much work haha
9. DO IT. you can do a lot of things with pathology, either becoming an anatomical pathologist (examination of organs/tissues on the cellular level and autopsies) or a clinical pathologist which is more based on lab analysis. you could also get into veterinary pathology if you decide to persue your DVM degree (because I'm pretty sure that you need that degree in order to be a veterinary pathologist). And it's interesting.
AGAIN, biological-related things may be competitive but think positive - it doesn't hurt to try.
btw could I have your commuter pass for next semester y/n lol

i'm thinking pathology sounds really interesting and i don't mind working with dead bodies. :)
i guess my thing is that a job has to challenge me. once a job stops challenging me i get bored and then i end up quitting, this is why working at the ref desk is good for me, you always get different questions and you can promise you will be challenged at some point nearly every day. that's why being a vet/doctor is so appealing to me. 1. you get to save things and 2. it can be challenging. but i think pathology would also be challenging. and two years for pathology is really good.
maybe i'll apply to micro and pathology and see where it takes me? and then depending on how pathology goes.. still apply to vet school in the fall or wait and get the pathology degree in two years and then go DVM. we have a librarian here with 19 degrees, i could be like that.. haha.
