pop music is not a crime
so corey left for work today around 10:10, it takes him about 25 minutes to get to work, but he had to stop along the way and pick up one of his managers because her ex/baby daddy stole her gas money out of her purse. so, he's in her neighborhood and trying to find his way back to market ave when his manager(carol) notices this turtle. and of course, corey turns around and goes back to where she saw it. not only that, but instead of just leaving it and going to work he picks it up, puts it in his trunk, and drives all the way back up here to bring it home. and now there is a turtle in a giant rubbermaid tub next to my desk. he likes banana and freezepop and needs a name.
from what i can tell he was probably someone's pet that was let free, because he is used to people being around, unlike what you would expect from him. also, akron is on the very far edge/not even in his natural habitat range, so he probably wouldn't be found here naturally, and definitely not in the center of the city.

i also started my bathroom painting project. my mom recommended using just a paint brush because the bathroom isn't really large and a paint brush would work well enough. but now i have to do a second coat(or leave it alone, i haven't decided), if i had used a roller i would only have to have this one coat. as ocd and perfectionist as i am, i don't really care to do a second coat and will probably just buy a cheapy roller from the dollar store for the rest of the bathroom. i decided to use a different blue for in the shower(it's a darker blue), to kind of define the space. the rest of the bathroom will be a different, lighter blue color.
i'm also getting a betta, probably tomorrow. yaaaaay. he will live on my desk so i can watch him while i sit here.. even though i can see the goldfish tank from here.
