HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! (...a day late)
major shout out to Earthmonkey69, who 10 years met me in a leather bar.
mind you, I was freshly arrived from a Patti Labelle concert and was wearing a cute black shirt and lime green pants. since he'd had a few drinks, which helped blind him a bit to the brightness of my pants, he gave me his business card and asked me to call him. the next night we had a date that ended up with us finishing off a six pack of beer in an alley behind a bar.
(I swear to GOD it's nowhere near as trashy as it sounds!!)
after dating for a over a year, during which he became the best boyfriend I've ever had, we stopped being boyfriends, redecorated the apartment, and became just friends. I actually hestitate to use the term "just friends". because saying "just" seems to minimize it.
he's my best friend. a friend who's made a world of difference in my life and introduced me to so many wonderful people.
