Okay so in my utter boredom on the five hour bus trip back to Yorkdale, I'm using my laptop, lack of internet included, to type up the post for tonight. I have about an hour or so of battery power so I think I should be able to finish this by then. And the more interesting part, or at least I think so and I believe my buddy Jay would to as he really enjoyed it, I'm listening to a soundtrack. Mamma Mia! And I can tell you that I fully enjoyed the movie more the second time around than the first. Jay and I went to see it last night. It was surprisingly good I found, and both of us were so hyper after it we were outside of the cinema waiting for the bus to pick us up and we were singing along with each other for the soundtrack. So when we got home we downloaded it, he on his laptop and me on mine.
So here I am, looking out the window at an array of trees and rocks typing away. It's funny actually, Jay's playing on his PSP and I'm listening to my computer while I'm playing on my computer while listening to his PSP. God we're pathetically geeky... lol
So my voyage to Sudbury is officially over for this year. Side track.... Jay's pulling out his laptop now so he can listen to the soundtrack without having to steal my headphones for it,,,, I had a good time out there this year. It may only have been a few days but I got a lot of work in on Tuesday so I feel accomplished for that and then I had a blast in the Guitar Hero competition we had at Jay's. For once I found someone who's my level, not vastly better or worse but who plays about as well as I do so when you face off it's actually fun since you're going back and forth for who could win. It was great. And then last night at the movies, well if you know me even halfway decently you know that the only time I sing and jump around is when I'm like super hyper from having a really good time!
So I think I'm spending the day tomorrow celebrating my mother's birthday as well as mine with my grandparents, and then I have Sunday off before going back to work on Monday. After the last two days I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to work now or not. I mean yes I can't wait to get back to routine, but at the same time if I go back to work I'll never catch up on my gaming... Plus I have some SERIOUS work I have to do on my decks. I'm not sure when the next tournament will be but it's a block format so I need to sort out how to make my decks work with only three sets... I'm figuring about two to three days per deck, and I have three....Then I have to finish burning those DVDs for Jay before I forget, there's only about twenty or thirty more heh. And next week I have the Fan Expo. My 5 con.
A word on that, I think I can talk about the greatness of the Fan Expo for about fifteen minutes. I'm looking forward to it this year. One of their guests is none other than Mr. Spaceman himself, Buzz Aldrin. You know my buddy Jason said something that kind of stuck with me in regards to that. I mean here's all these actors and actresses who pretend they've been in space and all that and all of these geek fans who wish they could at least pretend they've been in space and for once they're going to have someone who has been in space. Someone who made the trip and survived it. Can you imagine what that must have been like? The idea of traveling that far away and seeing earth as this like pebble thing and just, it's a wow really... I don't know, maybe I'm just still a little kid in many ways, but the idea of it just boggles my mind and makes me just have to pause and wonder. All I know is I'm really looking forward to that.
...
Now what...? To be honest, I think this is the first time this has really happened but I'm at a loss as to what to talk about. My God Spair's speechless... that's got to be a first... And the post is only about a page in length... I am very disappointed with myself now. If anything I should have managed a good three pages before I hit the wall of what to talk about when there's nothing happening around you. And the worst part, which I just realized now of course... If I want to keep posting after our twenty minute break around Parry Sound and the battery is dead when we get there I can't. My charger is in my bag so I couldn't even plug in at the rest stop to charge it for a bit. Hopefully Jay won't kill his batter too much so I can use his computer to listen to Mamma Mia! more... Anyway, since I'm drawing a complete blank as to what to type, I'll call this the post until later when maybe I'll have come up with some comical anecdotes... Probably not though.
Later Days,
Spair
