Well, this post should start ALL the way back at my birthday, so it will.
August 13, 2005. I'm 20... big freakin' woop. The only positive of my advancing age is that I go to spend the day (well late afternoon to late evening) with three of my best friends. I wouldn't have had such a day though were it not for one person. Serpentesse, and all her nagging me about how I have to go out for my birthday and shit. But that's really all there is to say. That is, until one Serpentesse gives me my link to my photos to do a real post, you hear me Serpentesse? I need my photo link!!!!!!!!
So anyway, the next day is my day of shopping... I went to like everywhere in Brampton to find a swimsuit and finally I found shorts at a rebok store in Trinity Commons Mall. I needed my bikini top so I went to Bramelea City Center, where I ran into an old pally of mine from Turner. He's like my oldest friend, literally... Anyway, we hung out for the rest of the day (until 2:30) and went bowling and shopping and shit. It was a heapload of fun. I got the top and I was all ready for my day with Jay at Wonderland on the Friday (the next day...)
So I got up early to go to Wonderland, we're talking second day in a row of being up at 4:30 am... I went with my grandfather to drop off my grandmother and then was left at Bramelea City Center at 7:30 when I needed a 9:00 bus... Long morning eh? Well I got on my bus and went to Wonderland where I met up with Jay and we spent the day moving from ride to ride. I almost killed Jay when he took me on the Lara Croft ride. The only thing I can remember about it is saying Jesus Christ a bunch really. I bought a new suit cause I had to, and froze my ass off for the rest of the day after the wavepool cause the blasted thing wouldn't dry. I left Wonderland late that night with the intentions of sleeping little and waking early because...
6:00 Saturday, I wake up to get ready to go to the Metro Toronto Convention Center, where the five-con was. Sci-Fi, Anime, Comic Books, Horror, AND Gaming, all under one roof, all on one floor, all for only 1 weekend! So I met Jay at like 9 am, and we bought out tickets after Jo gave Jay his CD's back, I bought mine and one for one other, Brendan. We got our tickets and when we could we got the Masquerade tickets, but that still left us with a problem cause I couldn't get Brendan's Masquerade ticket because he wasn't there, and I didn't want to wait cause he wasn't going to be there until 12 (or so I thought) and the could be sold out... What was I to do? As a way to pacify my issues, Jay and I stood in the 2 mile line and went to look around the floor. I got posters (now happily hanging in my room) and a calender, and an Autographed photo of Tim Russ (for those of you who don't know actor names, that's Tuvok of Star Trek Voyager.) All this took until about 11:30, at which point, after some coverted oggling of Evilra in her well preserved glory with Red hair and huge boobs (she looks hot for an old chick), Jay and I went to wait for Brendan cause my head hurt and I needed off my feet for a bit. We sat and waited when Brendan never showed at 12. We waited until 12:30 at which point we went for food. 30 minutes later Brendan called and we met up with him and again went back to the floor to look around. We got bored of that so we waited in line to see some Anime artist Angela, and the concert gave us whistles. Both Brendan and I had green whistles and Jay had a red one. My whistle broke later, I was very saddend, and there's a white bead inside... WHEE!!!!
Anyway, concert went on with much mocking from Brendan and I, especially towards the 'guitarist' who was only actually playing for one song that we could tell (little things like he's going mad on the guitar and there's no actual guitar in the music...) It was fun in a way cause I mean I didn't stop laughing the whole time. Jay had a blast, I think, at least he appeared to. He was dancing with everyone else and cheering and shit, I was made even happier just seeing him get into it. Overall, not a fan of the tunes but I had a blast at the concert. We left the concert and waited in line for Jay to get a cd autographed by the band and then we went and stood in line for the Masquerade (when Jay and I left the floor to find Brendan we managed to fanegle his ticket then.) Jay waited while Brendan and I went to get food, though we didn't actually leave the building right off because I was wearing a white tee-shirt and it was pouring rain outside. We left the building when I had a sweater on got food and waited in line. When we got in I was sitting in the same row on the other side of the auditorium as last year, and Jay had to leave early after the show started, missing the highlight of the evening, this quy proposes to his girlfriend while on stage.
Romatic happenings: The couple were Joker and Harlequin (of Batman for the non nerds reading this...) and they run out with this music and she pulls out a bouquet of flowers which he tosses aside, and she pulls out a box which he glances in and then tosses aside, so she pulls out this batman head with fake blood out the bottom, and he turns to her and the music stops and it's the guys voice and he says, 'oh Stephanie there's something I forgot.' And he gets on one knee and asked her to marry him. I was so romantic (be a nerd to understand) and so sweet (be a chick to understand). The whole place gave them a Standing Ovation.
So Brendan and I, now alone as Jay had to leave to catch his bus :(, leave the place after the Masquerade ends and we take the subway back to Yorkdale where I just miss my bus, 11:20 bus, I arrive at 11:25... So I have to wait until it's 12:20 to catch the next one. Brendan and I hang out until then when my bus comes and he takes off.
The end of my days of long nights, early mornings, and never off my feet. Saturday was the first time I met Brendan and I must say he was a pretty chill guy. Hyper and all but definately fun to be around.
That's really all there is to say for now, that is until Serpentesse (JANET!) gives me my link.
Later Days,
The Anti-Christ
