(no subject)
I don't think as part of my adult life that I ever have had as much faith and pride in the American people as I do tonight. Pride! I don't think I've had much pride ever in our country, and I know my faith in it has been pretty invisible until now.
Times they are a-changin'. You can feel it.
That said, OBAMA! I'm pretty much deliriously happy. Completely lost it during his speech (A PUPPY!!!) and wept for awhile. Good tears, ones that mean something. The speech was beautiful and eloquent and spoke of reunification and was everything that our speeches from the white house haven't been in years. I was and am actually excited for politics and America, two topics I usually avoid like the plague.
I can't stop smiling, which is weird. I know we have a long way to go to fix things, but finally, FINALLY, we are on the right path.
(Also, pretty happy about the way the questions went. Same way I voted. No taxing pot-smoking (but only an ounce now, y'hear?) racing dogs. Yeah.)
