Something Wicked This Way Comes

I am, once again, reading this book, having finally figured out that it is, indeed, my favorite book of all time. I love the characters, the language, the portrayal of everything, the title... So many things. I've read it too many times to possibly remember, and it is filled with those little paint shade things you get at paint stores, each bookmarking an amazing quote, or a piece where Bradbury says what I've been trying to say for years about something.
It is fantasy and dark, without being overly so, and beautiful and terrifying.

I want to live in this world, and to run from it. Bradbury's portrayal of people throughout it is amazing.
It makes me want to write and write and write until my fingers fall off, until I've gotten to this state of readability, so that I can enjoy reading my writing over and over and over, bookmarking it to death.

I remember when I bought this book, and it was lovely and brand new. Now the binding is a little dead, some pages are torn, and the cover is worn. A marked book, to be sure, a well read one. And even though I read it when I was younger, it continues for me, getting better with age.

Read it. Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury.
