Sunday marks the end of the first 6 weeks of my diet/exercise plan. Supposedly, after the 6 week mark, your body gives up fighting the good you're trying to do it and gives you dramatic results for a couple weeks. I'm *really* looking forward to that...but right now I want to take a look at how far I've come.
I've lost a total of 12 pounds, 4 1/2 inches from my waist, two inches from each thigh and 3 from each bicep. I am now able to, COMFORTABLY wear size 11-12 pants, which I haven't been able to do for about 3 years. One pair I bought a couple of years ago and have yet to wear...that makes me feel uber happy. I'm learning to listen to my body when it comes to food and portions. Trying to eat more than 400 calories at a meal just makes my body scream at me lol. It's also craving healthier things: fruit, yogurt, veggies..instead of the junk I was always consuming.
Physically things are getting easier. When I started I couldn't complete 1/2 of a circuit around my complex without feeling like I was going to die. Now, I can run 2 full circuits before I really feel like I'm pushing myself to a limit. Work is *much* easier. Lifting loads of heavy plates and silverware isn't nearly as difficult as it once was. I'm starting to notice muscles I didn't know I had! (Glancing down only to see your forearm flex is interesting lol).
So, I think I'm doing well. Tonight and tomorrow I have off, so I'm recharging batteries. Working out, playing PS2, camping out with movies..just me stuff that I haven't been able to do in a few weeks. I'm going to see if BBV has Kingdom Hearts 2 for rent. I'm dying to play that game, but I can't afford the full 50 bucks right now heh.
