My life over the past few weeks, in a crispy nutshell: REVISE REVISE REVISE. WRITE WRITE WRITE. CONSIDER SELF-DEFENESTRATION AS ALTERNATIVE TO EXAMS. REVISE SOME MORE. SLEEP (optional). WRITE SOME MORE. PLAY QUIDDITCH. QUIDDITCH QUIDDITCH QUIDDITCH. MMMM, QUIDDITCH. ANXIOUSLY AWAIT RESPONSE FROM PRO TEAMS. REVISE HALF-HEARTEDLY WHILE ANGSTING OVER THE POINTLESS VAGARIES OF LIFE. WRITE. REVISE. REPEAT.
So, in case you were wondering. I apologise about the caps, but sometimes lower case just doesn't do it for me. I'm a
woman with needs! And sometimes those needs happen to be the capitalisation of letters! DON'T JUDGE ME!
In less melodramatic news, Ling and Fei have finally set a date! It's in the summer, which is very exciting. It's not every day one's older sister gets married, and in any case I adore summer weddings. Well, I adore winter weddings, too. And spring ones, of course. And it can't be denied there's a certain charm about weddings in the fall...really, any wedding that doesn't have me involved any higher in the chain of command than bridesmaid or perhaps maid-of-honour is aces with me! In fact, if it's not the one of a close friend or family member, just dress me up and call me flower girl, just to be on the safe side. I know I'm a bit too old, but I'd much rather be throwing flowers as I walk down the aisle than holding them.
While I'm of course happy for Ling, I can't help but look at this with a sort of dread, since it means I'm next. And ALL of our relatives will be there of course, in force, and they'll all be in a wedding mood and have their matchmaking hats on...aaugh!
In short: Revising: DEATH. Writing: DEATH. Defenestration: UNDER DISCUSSION. Sleep: UNNECESSARY. Quidditch: LOVE. Weddings: AS LONG AS THEY'RE NOT MINE.
