Muse Fusion #3 - Sign up now for tomorrow, April 13

Apr 12, 2010 10:01

On Tuesday, April 13th, we'll be hosting our third Torn World Muse Fusion!

Participating writers and artists will log in on Tuesday morning with one major goal for the day: to create! You can participate as a creator, or as a prompter.

Prompts: Let us know what you want to see! Do you want to know what a character's opinion on a subject is? Want to see a particular plant or animal in action? Maybe you'd like to hear a dialogue between two characters on a particular topic! A prompt can be specific, or general. One-word prompts are welcome, as are picture prompts, title prompts, or links. Cross-over fanfiction can be requested, though not all participants may be interested in creating it. The only major restriction for prompts is that they should be appropriate to Torn World and available to all participants (no specifying that a particular participant write your prompt).

Participants: Want to jumpstart your Torn World muse? Sign up in the comments here and let us know what you're interested in producing: poetry, flash fiction, fanfiction, artwork or any combination. You may post a link to your existing work (so that interested prompters can get an idea of what you might be skilled at!), you may request donations with a paypal link, and you may list additional restrictions you may personally have (no fanfiction, or poetry only, etc.). You must be a Torn World contributor to play along. (It's free!) You may charge a fee to share your work using any business model you choose. Your information will be posted in the main Muse Fusion post when we open up on Tuesday. If you would like to include a paypal donation button in that post, please email the script to Ellen before Monday night. Please sign up below to be listed on our 'go' post!

No work for the Muse Fusion is considered canon until it has been reviewed by the canon board and properly submitted to the site. If you share your results with your prompter before this occurs, please remember to add a disclaimer.

It's a great idea to let your co-participants know which prompts you are pursuing, so that we can try to get everyone's prompts addressed, but multiple participants are also welcome to use the same prompts.

It's also a good idea to let your prompter know what you come up with afterward! You can share what you create (see above about using a disclaimer), a short excerpt from it, or just tell them what you worked on. If you turn it into a finished piece later, it's a great idea to let them know when it's posted to the site.

Most of all, have fun and create - a lot!
