Watching all the news with great interest. So far there does not appear any reason to panic.
1) The number of active cases in Mexico city is declining. Apparently 400 remain hospitalized.
2) There are no reported cases on the Yucatan pennisula where we are scheduled to go to.
3) There are more cases in BC.
4) Today the Yucatan governors sealed their border with medical checkpoints to contain the virus to the Mexico City area and to prevent fleeing refugees from contaminating the Yucatan.
5) The distance from Cancun to Mexico City is about 2000 km. So, if a virus was infecting Winnipeg, would you feel safe in Victoria? I certainly do not see a need to panic.
And almost a dozen people died in BC over the weekend through various causes.
