I never update. So i'll just pick up from Friday.
Friday: We were supposed to have a football game but it was postponed until Saturday. Since we had the day off, Kayt and I went to the movies with Mike and Eric. We were gonna see Saw, but we changed our minds and wanted to see The Grudge. Eric refused to see it at first be we got him to do it. That movie scares me so much. I don't know why, because it's a pretty lame movie, but still really scary. We went to Blockbuster afterward, where we saw the scary guy that works at Pathmark. Mike and Eric picked me up and practicaly dropped me right in front of the guy. I really thought he was going to murder me. We dropped Eric and Mike off. I slept over Kayt's and watched Shrek 2.
Saturday. We didn't go to the football game because we had our All- States Competition! Got to the HS at 2, practiced, and left. It was a 2 hour bus ride the Allentown, where the competition was held. It was sooo cold, so Rach, Kiki, and Annmarie taught me and Kayt the dance from last years show. Then we ran laps with the band and I actually felt so much warmer! Then we had to get rid of our coats and stand around FOREVER to wait to go on. We got on the field and I was sooo nervous. The one thing I remember is the beginning of the first song. I turned to see everyone together, looking up and smiling. It was such an amazing feeling. I felt that I did really well individually, and that we all did so well together.
We went to Burger King. One of the busses broke down so we were kinda stranded there after closing time. One bus left, and then it came back for us. We got there just in time for awards. I taped some footage for my broadcasting project, and then I heard Best Colorguard...RAHWAY HIGH SCHOOL! I ran to the rest fo the guard. Everyone was crying and hugging eachother. Even Laura was jumping around. It was an absolutely amazing feeling.
I LOVE YOU COLORGUARD!
Then we hear Best Percussion...RAHWAY HIGH SCHOOL! And the whole band went crazy again. It was awesome. We had to just stay there for a while until a new bus was sent. Then we started the 2 hour bus ride home. I had a lot of fun the whole night.
Thank you, Marching Band, for giving me the night of my life! I love you all! I could never ask for a better first marching season!
I can't believe it's all almost over. We have some footbal games left, because they won last night. Their first game of States!
Then we have the social.
And then it's over.
I made so many new amazing friends from band. I'll definitely be trying out for guard next year. I really hope I make it! Because I loved being in Marching Band.
