ENDS WITH A BOOM! EXPLOSIONS HIT THE SPACE DYNAMICS EXPO IN CORNERIA CITY

Several space vehicles on exhibit at the Space Dynamics Expo 1997 burst into flames during Beltino Toad's closing speech yesterday afternoon. Fortunately, however, Toad and all convention participants were able to flee the scene before the major blows and only minor injuries were reported.
Witnesses say a frantic green chameleon was seen grabbing a teenage falcon in what appeared to be a kidnapping or hostage situation (assumed from the knife he wielded) that growingly alarmed the crowd in the exhibit hall, and the distracting situation may have been saved everybody from being caught in the middle of the explosions. Toad claimed that his cellular phone died and ran to seek authorities for the kidnapping of the teenage falcon, therefore was not present during the blasts which were severe enough to have killed him if he would have never left.
Toad remains in shock at such a tragic fall to end this year's expo. Destroyed exhibits include prototypes of improved Cornerian Military fighters, The Landmaster, and a new satellite system to be launched in space. A mothership engine was found rigged to explode, but the procedure was apparantly not finished in time to set off with the others.
Assuming the other exhibits were also sabotaged, the military is currently searching for any suspects involved.
