Woman says she was kicked off plane for breast-feeding baby

Okay, human-kind. We need to have a little talk.

Everyone in this world has breasts, genitals and buttocks. It's part of your anatomy. There are exceptions, of course (ie. breast cancer survivors, eunuchs, etc), but at the very least we all have knowledge of what these parts are and what they do.

So why is such a common place thing so taboo? I don't understand it for the life of me.

When I was a baby/toddler, I used to run outside without any clothes on, scramble around in the grass and generally be a happy little bugger before my mom came bursting out of the house to get me. I bet most of you have some sort of similar story.

I remember when I was having my first communion (something I wish I hadn't done, but we were all naive at some point), I remember looking up the church aisle and seeing a girl who looked about four or five years old. She was running up and down the aisle lifting up her dress at people. Chuckles came from all around, and the father finally came and got the little girl.

It's a natural part of life, to be naked. You come into this world naked, we like being naked (especially with other people) and nudity is one of the most pleasing sights to the human eye.

Why are we all so anal about nudity then? Why did they force this woman off the aircraft? Everyone on this planet knows what a breast looks like and what it's for. Most of us have access to breasts on a daily basis, whether it be your own or that of your significant other.

I'm just trying to picture in my mind what common, every-day people think in this situation. By exposing a breast in public, is it going to create the downfall of the human race? Are children going to be murdered in their beds because someone callously took out their tit? Are we all going to get emphysema or cancer because of it?

The answer is an obvious no. For anyone who said yes, get the fuck off my Livejournal. Go read some books, get educated and come back, then maybe we can talk.

So we've already established that breasts are a natural part of life, that everyone has or has access to, and that they pose no real threat to the every day life of your every day human. Why get offended then?

I wish people would take a second and react to a situation based on what they felt, and not have some knee-jerk reaction that is fed into their brain by all these overtly pro-active NIMBY assholes that seem to make up the majority of the human populace.

Somehow, I think that I'll die before humans on this rock get any smarter.
