(no subject)
So the ball has already started rolling. I have found roommates in Peoria, but we need to find a place to live, and I need a job. Hopefully I have enough money to help pay a deposit. productofsin is being EXTREMELY helpful. If li_zhen approves, I have very temporary crash space with them. Very convenient, seeing as how my future roommates are there as well for the time being.
As far as productofsin tells me, the job market in Peoria is insanely tough, so I'm going to have to look really hard as fast as I possibly can, and once I find a job, I can't screw up.
I'm still hoping to get a 9-5 type desk job, but with the way things sound in P-town, I may or may not be able to do that. He's also thrown out the idea of a 3rd shift stock person at Wal-Mart. 11-7, I could handle that. Hopefully, if I decide to go for that, mortis301 would put in a good word for me. I'm also not throwing out the idea of commuting to Springfield, if I can get enough money to pay gas every day. (I just started working the figures in my head....that's a lot of gas....)
But, anyways, the mostly definite, can be changed if needed plan is:
Sunday-Thursday: PACK!! Finalize Plans. Get Fired. etc.
Friday: Drive to G-burg, then Palatine.
Saturday: Alona's ceremony/North Haven Coronation.
Sunday: Drive back to G-burg, drop off boy, go to Peoria.
Monday-Wednesday: Job/Apartment hunt like crazy.
Wednesday afternoon/evening: Drive back to Omaha.
Thursday: Pack up the cars and drive to Peoria.
Now what I don't know if I'm going to do or not is go to Winter Trials. It'd be the Saturday after all this, and I *could* ride back with Maeg and Zuri, but then I'd have to figure out how to get back to Peoria. I'm thinking it's probably not worth the effort, though I'd kinda like to spend more time with them.
Also, I may need help storing things while I'm apartmentless in P-town. If you guys have a spare corner where I can stash something temporarily, let me know.
Now I'm off to figure out how much money I have for all this.
