I am really not getting into the Christmas spirit this year. Maybe it's the exam on Monday, the presentation on Thursday, the assignment on the 19th...
...Or maybe it's the fact that
gollum1971 has to work on Christmas Day.
That's shitty, if you ask me. Never even given the choice, because they don;t have enough staff to cover if anyone wants the day off. Now, I think that it's just plain wring to make people work that day when they have a family...granted, we have no children, but we're 200+ miles away from all our family, and they're making him work.
I know that there are people around the world who are worse off, and I feel horrible about that, as well as the fact that I'm bitching, but I can't help it, it just pisses me off.
Let me extrapolate:
I think that Christmas will be canceled this year.

- gollum1971 will spend Christmas day, up until about 7pm, I reckon, making Dinner for everyone else but us.
- I can't make a traditional Dinner because he won't want to eat it after cooking it all day.
- I refuse to pay £50/$100 for a lunch that my fiance is cooking, so I can sit in the pub on my own eating it.
- I have been offered to spend Christmas Day with aniad, and then another offer by friend Taffy, I just can't bring myself to accept the offers.
- I will more than likely be spending Christmas Day sat at home, alone, watching The Wizard of Fucking Oz, eating cheese sandwiches.
gollum1971 feels terrible for all of the above, and I feel terrible that he has to work.
