Oh the dilemma ...

What to do? I'm trying to make inroads on Project Unforgettable because it's a fun story and I like it a lot. It hasn't helped that I've had a three day parental visit (well, from a writing perspective it doesn't help, personally Bear and I loved having them come to stay!) and have done no work on the story since Friday morning.

And then, whilst annoying my parents (again) by pointing excitedly at the telly during The Two Towers and shouting 'I used to live there, right there in that field*, that's where I used to live that is!' it came to me. Witches has finally been cracked. The original story idea was waaaaay too complicated and I'd been pondering on how to take the original concept and rework it into something I could actually write without having to spend three books explaining everything. Just as Arwen was breathing life back into Aragorn all the way from Rivendell it came to me and I spent the next thirty minutes scribbling madly.

But now there's two dilemmas ... well, two and a bit. What time period do I set it in, or do I pick all three? And which book do I write first? Because I really want to research into Witches and I'm excited by the thought of tying it into this wonderful culture I live in in a way I've not looked at before but have been considering for a while. But I've started on Unforgettable and I want to finish that (actually, I want to get properly started and now my gas leak's been discovered and fixed maybe I'll have the brain power to follow through!). But I can feel my attention's been caught by Witches, so should I try to work both at once? Or am I biting off more than I can chew? Again?

*I didn't actually live in a field ... well, actually I did a couple of times whilst camping but in this particular case I wasn't living in a field, they'd painted out Queenstown from one of the shots and that's where I lived for a time.
