(no subject)
Hmm.
I ran errands today! I got TWO pairs of new jeans. One is just a pair of jeans, but the OTHER. Oh, the other. The other is a pair of wide leg jeans with a denim tie at the waist. And they are AWESOME. And they are not one, but TWO sizes smaller than the pants I have now. But not being hung up on sizes, cause the other pair is supposedly bigger than those. You know, sizes suck anyway.
I also made a first journey to the new ShopKo and wasn't too impressed. However, I bought my nephew a Christmas present for my mom to give him-playdoh fun factory with a case of 10 colors. Oh yeah. I am totally going to be all over that with him on Christmas Day, I can tell you RIGHT now.
Next in this boring entry is a trip to Walgreens, where I had some photos developed. Nothing big, just some ones since I've been home. Walgreens is the same as I remember. I also purchased razors. It's a shame that the disposable entire razors cost less than the handles with refillable blades. So much better for the environment, yet I am a poor student. Once I have a job again, I will SPLURGE on razor handles with disposable blades.
Speaking of a job, I have secured one back at the lab with Prof. Macguidwin. Should be okay. I really didn't like field work, but it's winter, so I should be good for a solid 3 months or so. Sieving dirt is manageable, as long and I have periodic breaks, I think! And it'll be good experience. Gotta try to keep my good records with sterile technique and experiments up!
It will be nice to get an iPod. I suspect this will be a birthday/Christmas present from Alex. I will cruise around to awesome music of my choosing.
In other news, I have been making cookies, dipping cookies in chocolate, making truffles, and baking/putting together gingerbread houses. And wrapping presents!
Tomorrow is a jaunt to get our first real LIVE Christmas tree, and my mom's handbell concert Sunday, which I will try to harangue Andy into coming to.
