Another paper...

... another post. Yeah, yeah, bad habit. :)

I am writing a response paper for my LGBT Capstone seminar. I do not like writing response papers. Sigh. It's not toooo bad, though, I guess. The articles are interesting this time, at least. I'm not sure if they are graded themselves, or if they represent participation and reading grades...

So! Classes! I've already mentioned my seminar. I only have it once a week, but it's two and a half hours long. Ack. And we have what sounds like a huge project to do. I already need to have come up with ideas for it by tomorrow, and I have no idea yet. Ugh. The first class meeting went pretty well, though. Seems pretty much like the power lecture I had with the same professor last semester.

Physics. Yaaaay, physics. Low-level physics! No really. It's really not boring. The professor did not go over how to do just one problem using dimensional analysis for at LEAST 25 minutes today. You know what? I don't even think he answered the equation. Huh. But, no, it'll hopefully be ok, but it seems like a lot of work. Discussions twice a week, a lab, lectures... we'll see, though Most of the stuff is online. Homework every week, yeah, but also these pre-flight things that have to be done before every lecture. That's a bit of a pain. My TA is Chinese, but he speaks fairly well. Except that he says "lance" instead of "length." Hmm.

Stats. I was kind of worried about this one, too, but it's looking ok. The lecturer is funny at times, so that's nice. We do have weekly homework and 2 projects, but the projects sound like they may be even a bit fun. And we don't even have discussion or lecture on Friday this week. Nice!

Plant Pathology- Nematology. Oh man. There are only 3 other people in this class with me, and only 2 have shown so far. Good news so far-one of them is NOT my lab partner from last semester. I suspected she might be taking the class, and she drove me pretty nuts. So I wasn't looking forward to that. It's a bit weird sitting in class with 2 other girls and the teacher. She pretty much just talks to us about the little guys and our articles, and last time we got to do some extraction with soil. We will also have a big project, and I'll have to work a little harder on it, as it's going to count for my Plant Path capstone.

Gems: The Science Behind the Sparkle! This seems fun. It's all online. Seth and I are taking it together. I've already read the first lecture, and it was cool.

So, there we have it. 4 projects, multiple papers, lots of articles to read, and tons of homework. At least. :)

It could be worse.

I could be an English major!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

P.S. We saw Cloverfield this weekend, and now it's all we can talk about, read about on the internet, etc. Save us!

P.P.S. It's a good movie.
