Another awesome weekend in the books!
Friday hit La Rumba for Lipgloss, and it was pretty much an all-star night. Lots of people who rarely get out on a regular basis, all at once! Misha & Jerry, the Barbies, Olivia, Patrick, Brooke (though in boy-mode), meligoth (who took the bus from Colo Springs- trooper!), and my bestest galpals Markie & Raven- just nonstop action and non-stop gin... Which would explain why I had to make my exit so early in the evening.
After working a double saturday, Cass and I stayed low-key and opted for the midnight showing of The Shining at the Esquire and a quick afterparty drink at M's who had been whooping it up at Evolution and Charlie's all night.
Yesterday we went on a little shopping excursion before the football game. Since Cass and I wear the same size we basically bought some stuff for both of us, though it's hers. She doesn't have much in the way of club clothes and dressy stuff and had been mostly wearing my clothes out, so she needed her own cute stuff. There were huge sales at Deb and Torrid so for about $100 we got 5 pairs of pants (including some hot low-rise jeans that look fab on us both), a couple tops, a skirt, a necklace, 8 pairs of earrings and a cute pair of heels for Cass. We could have gotten so much more, but we held off.
We made it to JR's for the game about half-way through the first quarter after it took us a while to get dressed... I opted not to wear the Raider jersey en femme and instead wore some hot flare-leg slacks heels, and a cute new top. it was so fun being girly for the Superbowl, definitely not what I expected. We grabbed a bite an Barracuda's after and a few drinks at M's before heading home and crashing aorund midnight.
Suppose I should cram all this fun in before I start the new job on monday, right? Yeah, we'll go with that.
