Album Tinhat/Analysis Post

Warning: There is totally going to be strong implications of a Kris Allen/Adam Lambert romance in this post. IF you are uncomfortable with that/just don't like it, then kindly hit the back button :)

First up: The album For Your Entertainment by Adam Lambert. Not all of these songs are going to be really tinhatty, but I'll do my best :)

Music Again: Before I start the ~analysis, I just have to say that this is my favorite song on the album :) Anywhoooo... Although Adam didn't have any part in writing this song, it still makes my tinhat shine. And I ain't never met nobody better, you're someone else's baby...OH RLY, ADAM? This whole song just screaaams Kris to me. It basically says to me that Kris inspires Adam and makes him feel happier than he has in a very long time :)

For Your Entertainment: This isn't tinhatty in the typical sense of the term. Whatever, though. Basically, this is Adam's song to Kris about uh...the sex and things like that. We all know that Adam is more of Top and such. And this is...him telling Kris about that. *AHEM*

Whataya Want From Me: Oh, this song. *sigh* Even Gokey tinhats this song, mmkay? Adam, honey, I thought we discussed not being so obvious. Ah, well. We recently learned that this was recorded in NYC (the City of Kradam!) so that makes it even tinhattier. Adam has no problem discussing this song, and I totally agree with him on what it means. It's about loving someone but also being confused about it and how to deal with it. Does that sentence epitomize Kradam or what? Even though this wasn't written by Adam, I think he can completely identify with it, and that's why he chose it. I also kinda get the feeling that Adam is saying to Kris "I broke up with Drake and the only person in my life is you, now will you return the favor? What else do you want from me?"

Strut: Ehhhhh, it's actually really hard to tinhat this song so uhm. Kris totally lip-syncs this to Adam in the morning in his underwear. K? K :)

Soaked: Aaah, the dreaded Muse song. Nah, I'm kidding. Most people don't like this song. I doooo :) I completely agree with Adam's thoughts on this song. It's about how night after night, bringing people home just for sex can... get old and wear you down. You want someone for a relationship, but at the same time, you don't know how to deal with that because you're so used to one night stands. I guess this could apply to Kradam in the sense that Adam hasn't really had a serious relationship since Brad, and it's still kinda new to him.

Sure Fire Winners: ...Again, kind of a hard one to tinhat. If you don't really pay attention, it seems like Adam is implying that both of them won the show, in a way. But uh, the song isn't about that lol.

A Loaded Smile: ahdfalha finally, an easy song to tinhat! This is totally written about Drake. We all know it. It's contradictory and just...everything a butthurt tinhatter wants to hear, lol. Basically, he's happy when that certain person is gone and he doesn't know how much more they can endure as a couple. Totally written about Drake, and I'm pretty sure Drake knows that.

If I Had You: AAAH, the fresh smell of tin! No, seriously. Srsly, you guys. Srsly. lol, how do you not tinhat this?! If Adam had Kris, nothing else would matter. That would be it for him. The only thing he could ever want or need. Such a tinhatty song, but...it's almost kind of subtle because it's so dance-y and upbeat. ICU Adam, ICU.

Pick U Up: First of aaaall, totally under-rated song. Basically, Adam has been waiting for as long as he can remember for someone like Kris to come along. Adam's gonna do whatever it takes to get him, too. He's not gonna waste his time and sit there acting like a fool, he's gonna do something about it. Side note: I've heard a different take on this song, which is basically that "pick you up" is along the lines of "cheer you up" or something like that, which is interesting...

Fever: Oh. My. God. SERIOUSLY, ADAM? SRSLY YOU GUYS. SRSLY. If this is not what goes through Adam's head on a daily basis about Kris, then I DUNNO WHAT DOES. Also, the menagie a tois (don't you dare mock me for spelling) lyrics are rather...interesting. Maybe I'm reading too far into those.

Sleepwalker: *sigh* This song makes me sad. It... it's almost as if Adam has either come to terms with the fact that Kris won't be his OR if Kris was his, and then left. God, that is some depressing shit right there. OH! And this ahdlfadfhaldf this fucking lyric: You're everything that I want, but you don't want me. ADAM, WHY? *sobs* If this is about Kris... *beats him over the head*

Aftermath: Ooh, I tinhat this...but in a weird way. Like, I feel like this is about the Idol journey, and what happens afterwards. But...also. Ladies and gentlemen, you are now witnessing my revelation. How did I not... Okay. Yah. Soooo, this is totally about Kris coming out. Yes. OMG. Jeez, I am slow. Heh. Anyways, I think it's Adam's message to Kris that it's okay to come out. Adam's been there before, and he'll be there for him. Are your feelings love, love? Are your feelings love? This is definitely Adam making 100% sure that Kris is certain with himself. Oh my gosh. I once was blind, but now I seeee. /slow loser

Broken Open: No matter how many times Adam says that this was written about multiple people, it still screams Kris to me. I strongly believe that Kris broke down and just...told Adam everything. Maybe that the jokes weren't actually jokes, and his feelings are real. Maybe that he's gay, I don't know. But something big happened between them, hence this song.

I'm not doing bonus tracks (except for From the Ashes on Kris' album), so that's it for FYE. That was a lot tinhattier (...more tinhatty?) than I had expected. Four for you, Adam Coco. You go, Adam Coco. ...I'm a loser.

...Y'know what? I'm done for now. LOL. I'll do a seperate post for Kris' album. :D that's all, folks~~

adam lambert, kris allen, beep beep beep, album tinhat post, not by the hair of my tinny tin tin.
