For those who have legitimate reasons such as legal name changes or misspellings, give them a chance to fix it. No harm, no foul. I bet that if a woman got married and forgot to change her SS name, the company will prolly not fire them. But if you used a stolen or simply randomly chosen SS number for your application, then damn straight you deserve to be fired! Hell, I'd say that was grounds for kicking your ass out of the country! Sure it might only be used for SS reporting, but you could argue that this is only one step away from Identity theft. What is stopping them from using your SS number to get credit in your name and ruining your life? The point is not that immigrant are being fired because the forms don't match! The point is that people are abusing the system yet again!
