It's been a while!
Hmm...where do I start? It has been forever since I typed in this thing. Right now I am in the Merrill computer lab sweating profusely. Why am I here? Because I am sports camp counseling!!! It is definitely the most fun job I have ever had. I get paid to play video games and meet people! Though it doesn't pay as well, it is a lot better than working at the Lapham's nursery (though that wasn't a bad job either).
New stuff, new stuff...
There is way too much of it! And I love it! I am not going to bore anybody with details (if you want them ask me later), but here are some of the things that are going on...
1. I am going to be an RA in Cobb next year! Sorry Barnes :( It's nothing against you. The opportunity arose and I couldn't help but take it! I'll come back to visit all the time I promise! Please, please, please come visit me too! I am excited and a bit nervous, but it should be good fun and I'll be able to meet new people!
2. I am off to the Dominican Republic saturday morning! It should be good times. I am going with a lot of cool people from church and school. We are working with an orphanage and are going to put on a VBS also. Hopefully, I'll get to spend some quality time with people I haven't been able to yet this summer (Steve, Sarita, Chase, Colten, Scout, Skylar).
3. I am going to Leadership School at Evanston, Illinois! I am flying straigt to Chicago from the Dominican to go learn how to be TG! Thanks Brad for all your help in getting me there and to SAE for paying my way! I know that I will have a good time, learn a lot, and get to meet some very cool brothers!
Well those are the three main things that are going on with me. I guess I didn't spare the details like I said, oh well. There are some other minor life details. Camps are fun, the guys are really cool. I have met a lot of the counselors and we have become friends, which is really neat because I probably wouldn't have met them during the school year. Let's see...what else...thanks to Bryan Jones for helping me plan for RA business. You have helped me out a lot!
Besides all of that I have been hanging out with some people still in town and jammin' on my guitar (I am actually getting pretty decent). If I haven't talked to you this summer, I am not ignoring you, I have just been super busy so call me up...I want to talk to you!!! (i.e. Rae, Jess, Alicia, Meghan, Julie, Briggs, Dave, Kansas and everyone else). Speaking of friends...I have visited a special someone a couple of times! ( <--- That is there to tease all of you because it is my little secret :) ) Anyhow, I will try harder to keep this thing updated, especially w/ what happens on my trips!
