Stuff I've been meaning to post

July 20 was work's "picnic" at Canada's Wonderland (noticed they took off "Paramount" from that title). Brought my Nikon D50 and took a lot of pictures (qicetrini took quite a few too with it) that I will have to post at my Flickr site at some point. Wanted to go on The Bat but it was closed for maintenance so I went on Drop Zone which I also haven't been on for a long time. I've forgotten how when you get off you still feel like you're falling. qicetrini also won a lot of Sonic the Hedgehog plushies for our coworkers' kids, she rules Whack-A-Mole; I was always one point behind her from winning.

That evening qicetrini and I went to Mabel's Fables to get Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (which, by the way, was awesome) where they had a street party with a magician, a trivia person, and a flutist. I also got some gelato from across the street. After acquiring the book we headed down to the Duke of Kent to meet with thecrazyfinn where he was well into his copy.

August 6 was the company barbeque at Sunnybrook Park, across from the riding school there. I was on the committee this year with three other people, buying materials and helping to organize the whole thing. qicetrini and I were there by 8:30am setting up with the others before it officially started at noon. Although it was very hot that day (humidex was 37 Celcius, hoo!) it was a fun time. There were games, music, a lot of food, a band called More Than Words, and a magician whose name I did not catch. Again, I took a lot of photos there, candid and posed. I will be compiling the Wonderland and Barbeque photos to a CD for management to distribute to coworkers. Some of them might even be published in our national newsletter. I contributed photos and an article to it before regarding my experiences in the Rick Hansen "Wheels in Motion" event that took place on June 10.

And sooner or later I'm going to check out Facebook.
