I'm so being naughty!

Yesterday, I slept all the way until 8, then got up and did laundry, while working on my law review article. Then I ate lunch a did a bit of an outline. I did no real schoolwork the rest of the day. First, I went to school and joined the blanket-making for shelters, making blankets while we watched Mean Girls, it was fun.

Then I came home, and although I had planned to work in my room while all the Harvard students who were visiting Damian and Francis overnight hung out, but I realized I was sick of hiding in my room, that I probably wouldn't get much done anyway, and that I didn't want to come out and be sociable with random people, who are all very nice, I just have very little common ground with them. And they all know each other.

So I helped chop vegetables in preparation for the visitors for a bit then caught a cab to Prof. Farrell's Irish Sing-Along.

AWESOME! SO GOOD! I knew most of the songs which was nice, and Prof. Farrell when taking breaks from singing taught people Irish Dancing (looks like lots of fun, though sadly I didn't get to try it). I love singing! (Best bonus of a car, I can now bellow as loud as I like on the way to school). Then when most people had left, Farrell got out the broadway music and played that. By the time broadway music was done, the Irish song-sheet sets (with words and stuff) had been put away, so there was one last request for a finishing song, Fields of Athenry, only about 6 of us were left, singing from memory, and that was the nicest part, because we were actually singing instead of bellowing like we did for most of the songs, and Fields of Athenry is a good song to sing, sad and pretty.

Then this morning, of course, Mum and Nannie came in and I didn't get back to the apartment to work until 7:30, so of course barely got any work done today. but it's so very very nice to see people from home! I showed them around the law-school building and we ate breakfast lunch and dinner and shopped. It's lovely.

I just wish I could have all this and have finished my trusts and estates outline.
