San Francisco
Angels opens in two weeks, and that's a bit frightening, but in Part II, the Angel describes Heaven to my character. It turns out Heaven is a "City Much Like San Francisco" after the 1906 earthquake, and her assessment of the city's landscape almost moves me to tears every night, thinking about Pacific Heights or the view from the top of Hyde Street or Golden Gate Park:

Undulant Landscape Over Which
The Threat of Seismic Catastrophe hangs:
More beautiful because imperiled.
