Why you should read it: The aftermath of Exit Wounds is a rich fic hunting ground. Much has been written and much will be written about it, and that's as it should be. What sets this story apart is that it doesn't solve anything, it doesn't lay the ghosts to rest, but it does make a start. The author also manages to portray the emotional devastation of the remaining team quite well, with wonderfully evocative language and a true talent for saying - no. For showing the complex simply. The story assumes that John Hart didn't tell Ianto and Gwen that Jack had been buried. But Ianto knows something has happened. How far will he go to find out what it was? Read to find out, and read simply to enjoy the style.
