Summary: Some of us just hide behind our loneliness
Why you should read it: Taking place directly after the events of Greeks Bearing Gifts, everyone is so brittle, emotions raw, exposed and everything in this fic reflects that - from the description of the wind and grey drizzle outside to the loneliness of a rowdy pub. Ianto and Toshiko are both broken and jagged and they don't actually fit together, and they realize this, know that neither of them can be what the other needs, but it doesn't stop the moment from happening. This broke my heart for both of them, but it's so, so good.
