The final days of an era are played out, until at last a gift of remembering is given to the observer who is no more casual than any who have actually met the Doctor face to face.
Heartbreaking and beautiful, the writing conveys the sense of loss, but also the sense of life. This isn't a deathfic; it's a requiem, a memorial, a celebration. It's love for a character that has touched us all, and will continue to do so long after this time ends; for what is time to a Time Lord?
