Why you should watch this vid: Warning! Contents may make you cry! My friends and I sometimes call this show "Torturewood" and this vid reminds us all why. Conceptually stunning, the storyline takes Jack as its narrator, and views the agony of Torchwood through his eyes: all the death and pain and loss that they all are inflicted with. Meanwhile, as the narrator, Jack remains slightly removed; he suffers with them, but can't ever fully enter into their pain, which is the measure of their humanity. It broke my heart. anagraphic calls it the most depressing vid she'll ever make; watching it, you can see why. Lyrics mirror the action perfectly, and the editing also beautifully matches up with the beat. Speaking of the song, it's a great choice for this angsty, angsty tribute; often with slow songs, inexperienced vidders don't cut clips well, making them too long so the viewer loses interest, but it's very clear that anagraphic knows what she's doing. The cuts are fast, and the clips beautifully mixed, so you can truly appreciate the haunting, aching gut-wrench of the song as well as the show in a new way.
