I just ate vegan boneless chicken wings that I ordered from a Chinese place down the street from me. They're made from an imitation chicken that Luke would probably know the name of, but I don't. I got them in Buffalo, General Tso's, and Cajun flavor, and they were fantastic. Especially the Cajun. They're breaded and deep-fried in vegetable oil, then tossed in butter-flavored vegetable shortening, and then covered with various seasonings. I highly recommend it, but I have a feeling they won't last. The woman said they were new and they were going to see how they sold before making them a permanent menu item. Hopefully they stick.

New York on Sunday was great. It was fun doing something out of the ordinary, and I'm glad I got to hang out with Heather. Wandering the subway drunk is always amusing, especially since neither of us were quite sure exactly where we were going or how to get there. Also, playing power hour with 22s worked out better than expected. I wasn't sure if NY had the same rules in regards to selling alcohol on Sundays, so I asked the guy at the counter. I'm pretty sure he said he sold beer "everyday, 24 hours." This was somewhat disappointing when we tried to go back at 2:30am and the store was closed. Last I checked early Monday morning was part of "everyday" and 2:30am still fit into "24 hours." My distress was short-lived, however, once we noticed the shop directly across the street that was still open. All in all I had a great time, and hope to do so more often. Hopefully next time Danielle will be around.
