[October 22nd]

It's not that I don't like her, I know she's really nice and I do consider her a friend, I just don't get how she does it. I think the worst part of it, is that she doesn't even try... with Lana, at least, I get that that's how she was raised, and that's how everyone in this town has treated her since she lost her parents, like she is a fragile little thing and everyone needs to let her do whatever she wants, and mostly, I think she knows it.

But with Sophie? She obviously has no idea, and she's not exactly spoiled and she definitely doesn't seem to have some horrible childhood trauma to blame on. She just stays quiet, in her own corner and things just happen for her. Yeah, sure, Clark was a dick and he totally hurt her feelings, but even though he came really close to having an actual date with Lana Lang? He completely dropped Lana, turned around and ran right back to Sophie, and all Sophie did was look sad. Okay, so maybe I nudged Clark in the right direction because he can be a dumbass sometimes, and I do think Sophie is much better for him than Lana, but still.

And her parents are really nice too, it's not like I can not like any of them, not that I'm trying to, but they have invited me for dinner a few times and everything, oh and Sophie's mom let her have not one, but two cats because Sophie was sad about Clark. Yeah, I get that that's what mom's are supposed to do, but from what I understood, Sophie didn't even ask for it.

I know Sophie didn't do anything wrong, and I'm not mad at her. Maybe I'm jealous, but I don't mean to be. I don't wanna be her or anything but the girl just moved here and it's like she has everything. Not only is she talented with her clothes and stuff, but she has really great parents, who seem really happy with each other, and I would never complain about dad because he is really great but I do wish we had a normal family sometimes. And she has her cats and I guess what is really upsetting me is that she gets to go to the game with one of my best friends when I have to drive to Grandville and back by myself. Not only that, but she has a date. She just moved here and guys already notice her...

Yeah, fresh meat or whatever. Clark is constantly talking to her now and even Pete treats her like a girl. I guess I should be glad that people don't treat me like a fragile girl, but sometimes it'd be nice to be more than 'just Chloe'.

Ugh, the Crows better win that stupid game at least. Not that I care about football, but the Grandville players are jerks.
