Time to look into the deep things of God

May 08, 2013 07:02

So often we make God about us, and while this is true, I know He does not want us to be constantly wrestling with sin in our lives. This is a fact: We all sometimes sin and fall short of the glory of God, and while we bring these to the cross on a regular basis, our calling is much more than this: It is actually more about other people. We know the truth and our calling is to share this truth with others who do not know Jesus - These people are the sick, lonely and poor. As ambassadors of Christ, its time we started to look at people with spiritual eyes, the way God sees them. Then we can pray for them in the spirit, knowing that the Holy Spirit will guide our prayers according to His will. More importantly we can start to speak to them and really begin to have an impact on their lives, to the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Behave yourselves wisely [living prudently and with discretion] in your relations with those of the outside world (the non-Christians), making the very most of the time and seizing (buying up) the opportunity. Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you]. Colossians 4:5-6 AMP

Think about this: Of the three, who is the wise man here? (careful now
