First Con Experience: FWA

Feb 22, 2007 06:30

Last weekend, I attended my first furry con, Furry Weekend Atlanta 2007.

I'm not going to write up everything I did at the con; I'm not sure I even remember it all. What I am going to do is say that I had an awesome time. Thanks to everyone I spent time with for making it that way. Thanks to the con organizers and staff for making it possible. And thanks also to my roommates for accepting my presence there on such short notice.

To anyone who met me there who I haven't since contacted: feel free to comment here, I'd love to keep in touch with you. I talked to so many people, that I got a bit overwhelemed. I wanted to meet everyone, and my brain is just not set up just yet to do that effectively.

To those who introduced yourself to me only to later on get blank stares: I sincerely apologize; I am terrible with faces, so until I've got a name and a fair amount of time interacting with someone, I am not good at recognizing them. This is nothing personal, and is something I hope to do better at in the future. Please don't be shy in refreshing my memory; if I keep running into you it will eventually start to click.

I hope that I will be able to maintain at least some of the connections I tried to form there, and I intend to be at more such events in the future as time and resources allow.
