It was just a regular day.
He had gotten up early, grabbed his cup of Starbucks coffee in the morning and gone off to work. Reaching the building, he had sat down and began organising events, as the band leader should do.
Nothing unusual, nothing out of the ordinary.
So when a pair of strong arms, belonging to his lover, snaked their way around his waist he isn’t particularly surprised.
“Nao, it’s lunchtime, let’s go to that café down the road that you wanted to go to.”
He nodded absentmindedly before giving his reply,” Okay, just wait a moment and I’ll finish things here.”
“I’ll wait for you downstairs then” Giving Nao another brief hug, he exited the room.
It was just a regular day. Nothing different, nothing new.
But as Nao finished stacking the last of his papers, he wondered when Tora’s embraces had become so cold and empty.
