Well, one of them anyway.
On Saturday as I was coming back from an Afro-fusion Bhangra Raggaeton concert, I was sitting on the train, and this guy wearing the same jacket as me and his girlfriend sat down next to me. About five minutes after this, at like 2 in the morning, the train gets held up outside a station for some incomprehensible reason. After a little while of sitting there in despair, the guy says "This train better start moving!" And lo and behold, the train starts moving.
So the guy's girlfriend turns to him and is like "Oh no! You are not taking credit for that!"
So I look right at him, and say "Hey man, thanks a lot for getting the train moving like that."
Her: Oh no! Do not encourage him!
Me: But, he made the train move. I should thank him. We could have been a long time otherwise.
Her: Arrrrgh!
Him: Ha ha ha!
When I got off at 59th street to transfer, there was a homeless guy sleeping on a bench. But he fully had one of those Urban Outfitters white-noise machines that makes wave sounds. It was AWESOME.
Finally, as I was riding uptown on the second train of the journey home, there was another homeless guy asking for change or a job. And a guy on the train was like "Can you type?" Which the homeless guy could, so the prospective employer gave the homeless man his number and suggested he give him a call.
Do you think he'll actually call? Will the Good Samaritan actually put in the guy's name to HR? His friend was counselling him not to help the guy out, which is kind of a dick move.
