AURGH WTF!

Nov 25, 2004 11:41

So yesterday at work I was about an hour from finishing my shift, which ended at 6:30, when Matt called and said "We're going to go to the 7:00pm "The Incredibles" okay?"
It takes about 20-30 minutes to drive to the theatre. So this puts me in a bit of a panic but I managed to get out to his truck right away and he whisked me off to the theatre where we met up with Jay and Emjay. It was super nice to see them.
I enjoyed the movie. It had a lot of little tips of the hat to different comics and movies... did I say "Tip of the hat"? I mean THREW THE HAT AT THE AUDIENCE. They were kinda a little over the top so much they came off as rips. But it was hilarious and of the quality I've come to expect from Pixar :D
We left out the back door and found it to be FREEZING outside... well, 9 degrees, but a serious cold wind going on!
So with little chitchat we parted ways and went on home.
Matt dropped me off on the roof of the mall where I had parked that afternoon. I thought I ought to call home, but it was only 9:40ish, so I thought rather than calling, and putting myself walking around a bad end of town at night alone, I'd just use the payphone at the gas station when i got gas.
I got gas... the gas station didn't have a payphone.
Oh well, zip on home, got home around 10.
Go to open the basement door... Dad flings it open with an extremely scary look in his eyes.
He proceeded to freak and peak on me. They've been worried for three hours! They had dinner ready for me! How far could I have been from a payphone?! etc. etc. etc. for about 10 minutes.
When they called Matt's house he got his brother who was no help of where Matt was or who he was with. Wtf, thats my fault? Besides- take a clue, Matt isn't home! Gee, you THINK I just MIGHT be with him!?

*sigh* So after hiding downstairs for a while from getting the 2857023875th degree from my dad, afraid of getting the 2857023876th degree from my mom, I came upstairs said "hi" and hid in my room despite being extremely hungry.

This morning I did the same. For a while anyway. I do have to go to work after all.

Well, guess FUCKING WHAT.
After finally talking to my mom, they're essentially fucking GROUNDING ME.
I'm 19, an adult, I came home at TEN instead of SEVEN and they're not letting me drive anywhere but to work. AURGH. Theres no way I can walk anywhere from here.

I can't wait to fucking move out. These are going to be a long 5 months.
