I told my family I want to move into the basement. This has not gone over well. Currently my brother has the bedroom down there, but he has a lot of stuff, and is very attached to his room. I don't think its fair though, as he's home about 6 weeks out of the year. I believe that when he graduates he should move out for good as well, but we'll see about that.
Anyway, my parents think its too much work and my brother wants to keep his room.
Currently my stuff is divided between the craft room, the furnace room, the main bathroom, the extra bathroom, the living room and my bedroom. Its really annoying as these rooms are scattered around the house.
The only thing thats really concrete is the extra bathroom stuff and the furnace room stuff (all my art supplies)... which happen to be on the opposite corner of the house from me as well as a floor down. Not that I'm so lazy to walk down there as its inconvenient when I'm in the middle of homework and I need an eraser. Or if I'm in my room, its a lot harder ot muster up inspiration if everything is in the opposite end of the house. I have to keep some of my art supplies in the furnace room because its my airbrushing stuff... thats the only interior room its safe for me to do that in. So I keep all of it there (Or I'm running back and forth in the middle of projects -_-)
My brother's room is right next to the extra bathroom which is right next to the furnace room.
I wouldn't care about my room so much, but if my parents are going to make me pay rent, I want to be very happy with my living space. Currently it leaves me rather scattered.
My brother thinks I won't like it because of the spiders *rolls eyes*
My mom thinks I won't like it because I'll be farther away from company. I think I'll have more privacy.
I would have moved straight down there when I switched rooms 5 years ago, but it wasn't an available option at the time (it was my dad's music room)
The funny thing is, I may be convincing my brother to do this by giving him my bed.
Its the best bed in the house, but its also a twin. He's got a queen thats in pretty rough shape.
So we'll see how things pan out. But I want that room.
