I woke up at 8:30am today and got to work at 9am. I worked until 3pm and went into the exhibit hall where I met up with Travis and others. We headed over to the RAM Brewery and had dinner at 5pm until 6:30 and I left the crew (Travis and Matt had to run a LARP) and I went back to the convention center to soak up more WiFi at my station (that has become my real home here at Gen Con this year.)
While sitting here at the Exhibitor HQ after hours, the fire alarm went off. I packed up my computer and headed outside, where everyone was standing against the building. To entertain the crowd, some guys (who had been in the Auction Hall, I think I overheard) gathered up a couple copies of the
Jack Chick "Dark Dungeon" books and did a public reading (with three parts) for the crowd. It was highly amusing.

EDIT! Here is an edited video by someone else regarding the events outside during the fire alarm:

After the reading we were all standing out there when someone decided it would be a great idea to have a game of "Red Rover" across the busy Maryland Street as some folks were gathered there in front of the Marriott. The crowd would cheer "Red Rover, Red Rover, let Goth Girls come over!" , or "Pirate Guy", or "Green Hat Guy"... and when they wouldn't reply, we would chant "It's Your Turn!" until they did. There were a few back-and-forths before they finally opened the doors and we chanted "We Won! We Won!" only to have them chant back "Red Rover, Red Rover, let Everyone come over!" and we all laughed and headed inside. Note to the world: Don't put a bunch of gamers outside and expect us to sit quietly. ;)
Anyways, so now I sit here and answer questions of folks walking by and doodle on the side when not gaming online. It's not so bad, but I just wish there was something more intimate to do than sit here alone as hundreds of people walk by.
