New Years and upcoming events
I've got a really bad gamer habit that I've been developing over the years and it's starting to annoy me and I'm sure other players and GMs... I get wrapped up in the scene and start to "fill in" for the GM, explaining the situation or adding things in... you know, undermining the authority or control of the GM. *slaps head* It's something that I'm going to try harder to restrain myself from doing. Does this mean I'm ready to run a game? Heck no. *laughs*
New Years Eve is gearing up to be a VERY long day.
It looks like we'll be receiving lunch again at Noon, and then being let loose out into the world with the rest of the day paid. Whoot! Then it's off to Grand Rapids to Quinn & Tuites to hold tables (some gaming at the bar?) for the 9pm Craic Wisely and The Waxies show at 9pm. The doesn't officially stop serving (so I'm told) until 4am, and if history teaches me anything, we'll probably wind up closing down the bar around 5am, and if anyone's still awake it'll be breakfast-time (1pm until 5am? are we crazy?)
After that, I'm not back to work until Monday.
It's also looking like I'll be laid off from January 23rd thru February 9th, so I'll have about 2.5 weeks of kicking back and wishing I was being productive. ;) Who knows... maybe I'll go visit some friends, or attempt to be productive somewhere? My guess is that 2 weeks after that I may be laid off for another 2 weeks, so we'll see what happens--there's some folks in some border states I've been meaning to meet up with, so there's that opportunity. That's really how I want to look at this as; as an opportunity. I just hope my Muse cooperates.
