Making Clip Art Work For You

So, for the photo calendars that we do at work, we create 3 or so calendar covers that customers can use if they don't want to use one of their photos.
So, off I went to the Microsoft Clip Art for pieces to use... and these are what I came up with:

The first one is made up of about 3 or 4 different pieces of clip-art.   I really enjoyed putting this piece together and with the muted colors and the nice crisp foreground branch that breaks the frame, I figured this one would really attract folks' attention.
The second one is a little more complicated: the trees are all separate clip art pieces, but I "hand-made" the pier (which is modeled off of the Grand Haven pier.)  This one has turned out to be the most popular.  I wasn't sure if the "local" flavor of it would grab enough attention, but I guess it did

Today I made a calendar for myself using a bunch of the commissioned art I've had done for me over the years and it turned out really nice. :D  Now I just need to figure out where to use it. ;)
