One more time around the Sun...

I had a nice and subdued birthday yesterday. A few folks figured it out and fortunately they managed to keep it nice and simple. No parties, no gifts, just... decent.

It's not about age or anything. I just don't see the point in making a big deal about a particular day where I acknowledge that I've made it through another year.  I used to have big parties for my friends on my birthday... it was more important to me to try to show my friends that I liked them on the day then it was to take some sort of strange acceptance that everyone gave me on one day.

I was taken out to lunch by my boss and general manager (went simple with the hot-dog place down the street.) Heidi gave me a phone call, and there was gaming last night and a single slice of cake and a Fricano's pizza (I paid for with my $10 present from my mom) and other than a few "Hey! You didn't tell it was your Bday!" from some folks online, it pretty much went unknown by the masses.

Thanks to those who know me well enough to have not shouted from the rafters and made a big deal out of it.

In Other News:
Working on some artwork for a sort of Xmas card, still managing to pay the bills and live goes on as usual, though ever-so-uncomfortably... such is mortality.
