 Movies:
I enjoyed The Incredible Hulk. Cerebral? No.  Entertaining? Sure.   Just don't go to a showing with a 4-year old boy screaming his head off with excitement each time the Hulk appears, unless you want to be charged with murder when you throw said child like a football into the wall.
Get Smart was also pretty good.  I used to watch the show on TVLand while at Ferris State University, so it was fun watching the obvious and less-obvious allusions to the old show and watching the new-takes and re-invisionments of the characters and story.

I'm hoping to catch Wall•E and/or Wanted this weekend, but I wouldn't bet any money on it.

Home:
I'm parked at my mom's house for at least several more months.  I have a financial plan that pays off my credit cards and other loans so that hopefully come December or so, I can put those minimum-payments towards rent and get someplace of my own.  That'll all be reviewed in a few months, I hope.  I'm choking on 26.4k dial-up on the home's only phoneline, so I can only really get on when my mom doesn't expect late night calls... so usually I'm on after 8 or 9pm.  Otherwise I only get internet at work.

Work:
Still working.  Still at 30 hour weeks, but I'm managing to pay the bills, so that's the good news.  Nothing else exciting though.

Artwork:
Well... still trying to make up a portfolio for Crafty Games and experiment with colored pencils on bristol.  Other than that, hardly a scribble beyond what I did for Navajo (who apparently liked the badge very much. ^.^.)

Gaming:
There are some D&D games being played over at Lakeshore Gaming that I might look into.
I'm going to wait until GenCon to decide if I'm going to look more in-depth at 4th Edition, but I haven't heard of many folks who are going to "convert" to 4th.  I equate such a transition along the lines of "I'm going to run my D&D 3.5 game in Rifts now."

Etc.:
I'm considering putting money away to begin upgrading my computer.  I need more than 1GB RAM that I have, and I need to upgrade to at least one 500GB Hard Drive.  Other than trying to find some way of getting High-Speed (hell, even 256k would be awesome at this point), I think my computer is still pretty decent for a 5 year old computer.  I may get a new mouse though as my wireless opitcal mouse has problems containing its batteries as it's falling apart. :(

I got my Hotel Registration and room assignment from GenCon this week and am working out the travel stuff.  It looks like I'll be driving, which is good because I may be bringing back the Tora painting. :D

I went over to my cousin's shop (Dreese Fine Art and Framing) to discuss frames for the Heather Bruton painting I'm getting and wound up talking about some promotional ideas (getting the local art galleries together for a promotion, or posters about her exhibits), as well as helping her think of some uses for her 54" LCD television that sits painfully unused on her wall. :(  It has a USB port, so I showed her that she can show images and video and music right from her TV.  I also offered some suggestions on hooking up her laptop, computer or DVD player to show video galleries or slideshows or whatnot on it.   I felt useful. ^.^

With price of gas and really nowhere to go, I haven't been out and about much.  Still waiting on final bills/payments from utilities and landlord from the apartment.

• I'm trying to get ahold of Banshee Reel's "An Orchestrated Litany of Lies".  Does anyone have it?  I heard "Lament II" on The Thistle and Shamrock and want to know how the rest of the CD is.

I guess that's about it.  Adios, strange people of the interweb!

update, gencon, incredible hulk, an orchestrated litany of lies, banshee reel, get smark, wanted, movies, Wall•e, work, dreese fine art and framing, the thistle and shamrock, computer
