Tonight we went to The Black Rose Irish Pub and watched Craic Wisely again. About 5:30 I headed out to pick up Taki in Lansing and got to the pub at 8:45. Taki had reserved a table along the side of the band (as opposed to the opposite side of the building like last time). Oh, well.
The band was good, and made up new DAVE signs to cheer with again. (Last time I printed them out. This time I drew them there with a pen and a mini-sharpie marker.) I gave DAVE an MP3 of Corsairs, Jolly Rogers and the Beach Boys "Sloop John B" to see if they might be able to play with that a little bit. ^.^
Eventually we had to come home. The drive to Muskegon was fun. We just passed the M104 exit off 96 and it was white-out conditions. You see, when we got into the pub it was cold, but dry. When we got out it was COLD (like, maybe 10 degrees?) and blowing hard. Snow dust was dry, and so were the roads, but the white-outs were a bit tough. Anyways, as we passed M104, it became REALLY white-out and that was fun. *L* Got Taki to the Munster's and I drove home safe and sound.
<--While I was at the Black Rose I came up with this sketch:
It's characters from the "Temple of Divinity" on Tapestries.
It's sort of a Stained Glass version of scenes/characters from the Temple's Library/Scribes.
I'm thinking that my next move might be to get the geometrical parts done in Illustrator, then print them off at 3% cyan and ink it up. Then we'll see where it goes.
Also, I've been updating my secret links on my site, but if you want to see new stuff too, I have a FA account that I've been updating pretty regularly with my finished works.
*sigh* I REALLY have to get to work on those commissions! GAH! I have the lion/lion/snowcat pic penciled. I get some more info on it, I'll do another sketch, and then it's inking time!

So, it's 9:00am now. I don't know WHY I haven't slept yet. I was hoping we might do Taki's Eldesta game today, but we'd have to get Phil, Scott and Wes available on no-notice. Oh, well. Maybe I'll nap a few hours and try to takcle this artwork that's due!
